really, just play whatever game mode you like. I think ranked PVP might be the fastest way to get gold. There are tons of gold guides on youtube, too. I feel ya, it sucks if you dont wanna play anything else but get the griffon, but thats what you gotta do I think. Quickest way is money to gems to gold.
