Never played Primal, but aside from the Bandit Camps, which have a very similar Far Cry feel, Horizon doesn't play like Far Cry at all. I wrote a post earlier today detailing how the overall exploration and machine fighting is so engaging, I have put 30+ hours in and barely advanced the main story. synth22. • 8 yr. ago. I feel like the Far Cry games difficulty cap is getting easier overall. Look at 1, for any who have played. That games was insanely difficult. Then 2 with the Malaria? Pretty tough. 3 and 4 were a good challenge, but not so much as the formers. Now Primal, which seems like a bit of a push over.
things to try: Hard disk sentinel good software to check storage health. Go to nvidia control panel-> manage 3d settings-> find your game and make sure it runs on the nvidia gpu and not the integrated one. Maybe use DDU to uninstall and reinstall gpu drivers. make sure to use the safe mode option. As a last resort format and reinstall windows.
Survival mode fixes that. IMO if you didn't tbrough far cry 4. This is must have game. It rivals far cry 3 IMO with survival mode. I bought Primal near release, then stopped playing less than half way in. Even on the highest difficulty it was too easy. Survival makes it a real game, and a damn good one at that. Things to do: Try No Border mode or Borderless Window mode, set GPU max pre-rendered frames to 1, open D:\My Documents\My Games\Far Cry Primal and open the GamerProfile.xml, search for GPUMaxBufferedFrames="0" and change that to GPUMaxBufferedFrames="1", this seems to help the most with stutter. Far Cry Primal FPS drops and freezes. a friend of mine convinced me into getting far cry primal and to do a permadeath run. Since that sound interesting to me I just got the game. The problem is that if i start a playthrough the tutorial area, no matter my graphic settings, the game freezes like every 10 seconds or my fps jump from 140 straight
Finding it hard to get into Farcry Primal. I’ve played all of the Farcry games from 1 - New dawn even including instincts on OG Xbox but I’m finding it difficult to get invested in Primal. I’m about 5 hours in and I’m not really enjoying the combat or missions. Everything is at a much slower pace and I feel like I have to be stealthy
